The Tree Pruning or Removal Application is for any person who wishes to engage in the trade or commercial business of pruning or removing trees located on public property.

Have the Following Items Ready
Certificate of Liability
A Certificate of Liability and Property Damage Insurance in the minimum amount of $500,000.00.
Arborist Certification
Current proof of Arborist Certification with the International Society of Arboriculture.
Approval Letter
New applicants must also include a copy of the Boise City Forestry Division approval letter.
New Application
The City of Boise now allows you to apply for your license online. First time users of this system will be required to set up an account.
Once you've logged in, click "Apply > License" from the top menu. Select Tree Pruning or Removal Application from the license menu.
Renew License
The City of Boise also allows you to renew your license online. First time users of this system will be required to set up an account.
Once you've set up your account, you must link your current license with your online account by contacting the City Clerk's Office. Please have your current license number available.
After your account is linked, login and click "My Records" from the home menu. You will find your renewal in your Licenses list.
